Lightweight and loaded with probably more pockets than you will ever need during a single wearing. It may be quite warm to wear in the summer. The substitution of mesh and cotton would make an awesome summer version of this vest.

Perfect for Warmth and Dryness

This vest is highly water repellent and is quite warm for a lightweight vest. I wear it whenever the weather threatens a bit of rain but not too much cold. Its multiple pockets with flaps and Velcro closures are perfect for compass, glasses, P-38 can opener, or whatever, and it has an inside front left pocket with Velcro closure. The zipper works smoothly and the quality is very good. I will buy more of these vests in other colors, as they are perfect for the field.

I keep my wallet, credit card case, and checkbook in the pockets and hanging in my closet. When I am ready to go somewhere, it is ready to go. I have Mophie Pro Packs on my iPhones. I just shove them into the front pouches. It is hot to wear it in the summer. I wish Carhartt would make this vest in FR. Being a safety professional, this would be great to haul my stuff with me.
