YETI YT65 - Tundra 65 Hard Cooler

I purchased this product to replace the never ending series of 'non yeti' coolers that didn't live up to their promises. My first test of the Yeti was a 3 day camp out - and at the end of 3 days I still had ice cubes! Not ice water...but solid cubes that hadn't melted at all!!! We cleaned it out, pulled the drain plug, and left it outside of our cabin. When we returned a week later...we discovered that we have a nuisance bear in the area. The bear tore up EVERYTHING, but despite being drug 20 yards from the cabin, and a few bite/claw marks which didn't penetrate the outer shell...my YETI was intact and fully usable - even without a padlock! (later trail cam pictures showed the bear to be a 400+ pound destructive machine). My only regrets on this purchase are that I didn't buy YETI quality years earlier, and that I didn't buy bigger (the way this thing holds ice, I could stay out for a week+...if only I could pack enough food!)

My favorite cooler is the YETI Tundra 65 Hard Cooler because it perfectly balances rugged durability, ice retention, and everyday practicality for my fishing charters.

This is the second Yeti Tundra I have purchased. This new one is about half the size of my older one. These Tundra coolers are excellent. Very well built and they do a great job of keeping food cooled on camping trips.

The 65 is the Goldilocks of Yeti coolers; not too big not too small - perfect. Yet can be pretty heavy and require two people when loaded up.

Bought the 65 and brought it to my parents' house for the "big football game" party this year. A lot of people had heard of the Yeti brand but weren't real familiar. I left it at the house and picked it up two days later. My dad commented that there was still ice in the cooler and when he went looking for a soda earlier in the day his hand almost froze. If Dad approves, it must be good.

We have another YETI, when we go camping everyone else is buying ice, but not us. Always going with the coolers!!!

If you are considering a Yeti cooler, you already know there much cheaper options. That being said, there is no comparison in quality and function. If you want to keep something cold for days without worries then that's where your money is going.
