YETI YHOPSKD - Sidekick Dry Gear Case

First of all, the rating is not for the quality but for the size. I purchased this for my Hopper Flip 8 and the sidekick is so large (even though I compared the measurements to my cooler)it's almost bigger than the cooler. The measurement did not indicate that. Unfortunately it looks ridiculous so I returned it. Please make a smaller one that looks proportionate to the small coolers. This would probably work fine on the larger soft coolers but this looks awful on the small cooler and is basically in the way.

I use my Hopper Flip 8 as a lunchbox everyday. It’s a great cooler but there are no extra pockets to store stuff, so I bought the Yeti Sidekick to go with it. It works great, looks great, is easy to attach to the cooler, and gives me plenty of extra storage that the cooler itself lacks. The build quality is like all other Yeti products … overbuilt, sturdy and should last many years. Absolutely no complaints and I plan on getting another one to go with my Yeti Hopper M30.

I bought the pink dry bag to go on my pink backpack cooler and I use it 24/7. Even when I don’t use my cooler, I will throw my medications in it or makeup for a fast get to my car.

I bought this to put on my hopper 18 so it would have some sort of pocket to hold my things like my phone wallet and keys while I’m at the pool or softball field. Not only is it great for that but the dry storage works perfectly never losing air or obtains any moisture. Only thing I advise is don’t leave anything wet in there. Had a soft koozie get soaked by the pool then left it in the bag for a few days….smelt like something awful when I opened it back up. Air dried it and it’s all good now. Apart from that it’s perfect and a must buy for hopper owners.

Bought this for day hiking and wanted to keep Epi-pen and other first aid materials in it so that anyone can access easily. Attached nicely using the removable straps and the loops on the backpack itself. Very secure. I use the backpack for everyday commuting and add the Sidekick when out in the woods.

I saw a lot of bad reviews on the older version not actually being waterproof and also saying condensation getting in when attached to a yeti cooler. I've had no issues either way. The bag has been fully dry inside after a rain shower on my boat. I also had it connected to the new backpack cooler for 3 days straight while there was beer and ice in it and no condensation occurred in or on this bag also none on the backpack cooler itself. For the people complaining about it not being easy to open I'm dumbfounded because I can literally open mine one handed in the dark in half a second. It's super easy when you get the groove of putting the top part of your fingers under the flap and then pull the secondary magnet area open. I love how fast and simple it is to open so I'm not sure those people are trying different ways to open it or not. I haven't tested it in rain being sideways or laying on a puddle or anything but when attached to my cooler the rain just flows right off it and works perfectly. I love it, the only thing that could be better is the way it looks when attached. It appears to look slightly loose but isn't going anywhere. I would also love a smaller version for solo fishing days. I was surprised how much stuff I could fit in it. I've had 4 cell phones, 2 wallets, keys, lighters and 2 packs of cigarettes in it all at once with room for more small things if I wanted to play tetris with it. I just purchased the yeti carryall 20 & 35 and will be purchasing another one of these to throw inside one of the totes so I don't have to add the bulk look on the outside Molly attachments.

Best small bag for phone, wallet and anything you don’t want to get wet while doing outdoor activities. This quickly has become my favorite tag along on outdoor trips when going to the lake or beach.

Great addition to our backpack cooler. Large enough to keep family cell phones and wallets safe from water. Highly recommend!
