Our son recently secured a job in Japan. In order to travel to Japan and stay for a year, he needed to take a large supply of medication that needed to be kept within a certain temperature range at all times. We started reading about how to protect the meds while traveling 25+ hours, and then staying weeks in a hotel while waiting for his assignment (so much info on the internet, but nothing we could count on). Yeti bubbled to the surface as the premier cooler and a trip to Dick’s ensued. We purchased the Hopper Flip (18). We used freezable silicone sandwich bags which could be easily configured around the meds (the bags could be filled with ice and reused numerous times) and a bluetooth thermometer to keep an eye on the temp thereby avoiding nervously opening the lid. It took several iterations of how much ice to use and how long the temp would hold, but eventually we got it right. The meds and “ice” fit perfectly and the proper temps were maintained for the 32 hours from Pennsylvania to Tokyo. After his arrival, our son put the meds in the hotel fridge and found that the fridge was actually less reliable than the Yeti!! Fast forward 10 weeks. Our son has moved to at least a half dozen different hotels and has relied each time on the Yeti to protect his expensive medication. Having the Yeti perform at this level has eased his (and our) mind and allowed him to enjoy his travel experience instead of constantly worrying about whether or not his meds are safe. We can’t thank Yeti enough for living up to the hype!!! Perhaps other travelers can learn from this experience. We are true believers!

I was hesitant at first but wow this thing is impressive threw some cold ones in the with a bag of ice on top 4 days later ice is still intact definitely worth every penny and will buy a second 👌

We won this in a raffle fundraiser and it is the best cooler I have ever owned. We use it when we are on long car rides and it will keep our stuff cold for the whole day! Wonderful!!!

The Hopper Flip 18 Soft Cooler is very light weight. It has great capacity. It keeps the your food cold. The usual quality Yeti build.

My first time using the cooler back in March I was disappointment because the Yeti ice melted super fast. But that was on me, I didn’t read the directions about cooling it down first. (Yes definitely a blonde moment on my part But let me tell you we took a day trip to Schlitterbahn and let me tell you this cooler was amazing! Now can y’all please make it in pink?!

I was extremely skeptical about this cooler, and very hesitant because of the price. Very happy I took the leap of faith. I don’t know how this thing does it but it keeps ice longer than any cooler I’ve owned. The attached pic is the day after a trip on my friends boat. 26 hours after I first packed it. 85% of the ice was still there and there was less than 1” of water on the bottom. I followed the instructions and prechilled it with some ice packs for a few hours before use, then used fresh ice packs and ice. Beers stayed ice cold and some of the bottled water I had in there was actually partially frozen. I’ve never seen that before. Can’t say enough about this thing. Great product!
