Great boots, snow and cold

Great boots, snow and cold has yet to get into them and I've been wearing them outside when it's been -24* and windchill of -44*. They were on back order for awhile, but well worth the wait.

Great Boot… Almost

Purchased these fall of 20', I reside in the mountainous west with 6-7 months of winter weather. Previously owned boots are Sorel and Bogs. They are great boots and I don't regret purchasing. There are many pros but I will start with the cons. They are not warm to -40, Bogs does a similar comfort scale and both seem to be inaccurate. I understand everyone's cold tolerance and circulation are different but I personally would give these a 0 degree rating tops for longer durations, maybe -10 for shorter. The biggest con and the reason for 3 stars is the sole. They are the worst I have used on ice. The tread pattern doesn't have any grip. The traction in the snow is okay but add any ice component and they are junk. Compared to Sorel and Bogs, these have the worst traction of the three on snow or ice. The pros! They are very comfortable, the fleece lining is really wonderful. The open cuff design that can be cinched tight is awesome. They are a pretty high boot but I think that's a good thing. I am a true 10.5 and went with a 10, tried on an 11 and they were too big. Overall great boot that is thoughtfully designed and well built. I am hoping Lacrosse reads these reviews and updates the sole. Another plus is Lacrosse customer service, they were super great to deal with.

Overall a very comfortable boot to walking. I walk 5 or 6 miles a day. I just hope that the rubber will hold up over time. They are not a warm boot at all. They should not be rated for below 32 degrees.

These boots are amazing. They are better than the Muck boots that I had before. The adjustable calf strap makes these boots a dream for people with large calf muscles! Highly recommend!!

winter walking boot

I bought these because most insulated soft waterproof boots generally have too large a calf measurement and as a result snow leaves debris get in there. I specifically like the calf strap and gusset allowing me to use them not only for walking but for outdoor chores as well. specifically cutting logs and scraping snow. no junk in your boot. just want the rubber to last longer than a year.
