My initial impressions after wearing them on 4-5 scouting, hunting, and hiking trips in Colorado. Good fit, traction, comfort. Lacing works well. Need more time to break in for my left foot that is not perfectly shaped. I. think 8" is a tall enough for my usual terrain.
