The USA-made Recon® is tough and traditional in appearance, and comfortable in application. It delivers stability and support with its all-leather stitchdown construction, which provides a wider platform for increased stability underfoot. 200 grams of Thinsulate™ Insulation provides warmth while a GORE-TEX® lining provides waterproof, breathable protection. Lace to toe provides a secure fit.

Full-grain, all-leather can be easily polished and is preferred by those in uniform and on special tactical teams due to its durability and ability to be cleaned quickly

I purchased these for a 70 mile walk and followed the staff suggestions for purchase. It worked out well, especially with the cushion socks that adhered nicely to my feet. These boots are light weight and add protection against bushes and jagged rocks that may rub against the ankles as well. A friend made me aware of them and how many years she had hers which she uses for mountain climbing and hikes. Danner is a quality at the top and the service is beyond reproach with friendly and knowledgeable staff to advise. You cannot lose with Danner
