Absolute Favorite Boot Ever

I've had these for a year now. I live near the rocky Pennsylvania section of the Appalachian Trail, where I spend a lot of time. These are my go-to footwear for any outdoor activity. Over the past year, I've probably worn these over 150 times. They are as comfortable as a pair of sneakers, but durable as a hiking boot. Waterproof so your feet stay dry too! My only worry is that I see they're out of stock. I hope they come back soon.

Excellent hiking boots. Used in

Excellent hiking boots. Used in Yosemite for 3 days of hiking in February. Through steep rocky terrain, wet rock, ice and snow these boots performed great. You will need to break them in before use. Kept my feet dry, and comfortable.

Have only hiked 15 miles

Have only hiked 15 miles in these so far. Broke in at about mile 6 which is nice but also concerning. I hope to be able to get a few hundred miles out of these before they wear out. So far they are comfortable but need to add new inserts as the ones they comes with are thin and cheap. That is the reason I only gave 4 stars. If danner would put a high quality insert in these boots they would be great!

I love almost everything about these boots, no break in time needed. It’s one of the few boots wide enough for my feet. I just finished the sportsman lake trail in Yellowstone going over electric pass. No blisters and no sore feet. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 Star is because some of the stitching came apart on the side and it looks like it will unravel before the bottom is worn out.

The boots are great. I have worn Danner boots exclusively for the last 8 years. In fact, I just purchased a pair of East Ridges. What I did not like is receiving an email 8 days after my purchase of the Explorer 650 listing them for sale at almost half the price I paid. I spoke with a customer service representative who submitted a price correction request on my behalf. She informed me that Danner’s policy to price match is only for 7 days after purchase date. Nice boots, but...

Nice boots, comfortable & lightweight. My only complaint is the soles don’t wear very well. They wore down very quickly (3mos). Never had a Vibram lug sole wear down so quickly.
