These are a great boot. This pair is my second pair. The first pair were the only boots that were on my feet from the day they arrived until boot season last year ended. With that being said - they fit but I wondered if they may be just a bit small in the length. They seemed small even though by all accounts they should have been my size. I’m an 8 1/2 wide and that’s what I ordered. Being I wore them so much and could not return them( honestly…how can you properly replicate outside conditions inside your house) I decided this year when they went on sale again I’d try a 9 W and see if they were more fitting. They are. This has happened to me before w/ other Danners. Where I found I had to go the opposite recommended sizing way to find a comfortable fit. The other style was the Cascade Clovis. Most reviews and the website said to size down but I had to go 1/2 size up to find a comfortable fit. No worries either boot…the smaller ones fit my wife perfectly so she gets them.

Just got my first pair of Danner's boots. I always wanted a pair. These things are awesome. Very comfortably and fit perfectly (I got the wide size) for my wide feet. Aesthetically, they are by far the best looking hiking boot on the market. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is the string that holds down the laces broke on my first time putting these new boots on out of the box. That was operator error however, I thought i had the lace around the second to top hook but didn't and pulled up on laces that quickly and easily tore the upper string connection. Compared to the other shoe I don't notice any difference so I will ignore this issue but do feel those strings should be more strongly connected and durable like the rest of the boot is.

Took these boots on an extreme hike in Hawaii. Three hours of grueling terrain, mud, rocks, wall climbs, and much more. The boots were durable, never slipped, and I stay dry.

Wow! Mountain 600 EVO.
I started with a purchase of the USA Made, Mountain Light Brown hiking boots, while very well made, they were stiff, VERY stiff and the tongue was digging into the top of my foot.
Disappointed, I returned them and decided to go with the MOUNTAIN 600 EVO. . . . WOW Excellent boot, comfort right out of the box, and I suspect these will last a good long time too.
Danner, if you figure out a way to soften the tongue in the Mountain Light, I'll be in line to purchase them too!
