I got these as a back up during the annual Danner sale. I was surprised when I tried my first pair on. After being disappointed with the fit and comfort of two other pairs of hiking boots I said to the clerk that I would like to try those Danners. From initially putting them on I was amazed at how solid they felt underfoot. I walked around the store for a bit longer and enjoyed the fit and feel of the boot straight out of the box. After googling them and seeing that I would potentially be able to send them back in for a resole I was sold on them based on prior experiences with the Danner resole/rebuild program. I wear these primarily when it is warm enough in the winter to walk my dogs about 4 miles a day and on summer hikes in New England/ADK area.

So far the Mountain 600

So far the Mountain 600 Evo GTX feels quite comfortable. It is light and has a great sole which is very important because I'm also using it for winter hiking. We'll see how durable it is and how long it will last. It looks good too.

Needed new boots for two

Boots are amazing. These ones

Boots are amazing. These ones are lighter than my old pair. Pretty much no break in time. Only get more comfortable as you wear them. The round laces are trash however. they don’t get tight enough. flat laces are way better. Used the ones I have from my old pair. Works great. Really excited about these being repairable. But that’s a long ways off given the shape of my other pair after 5 years. I’ve worn them both to work and to get trashed in the woods. Few scuffs but nothing that wouldn’t buff out. Buy these shoes you won’t be mad.
