Danner 62145 - Mountain 600

Incredible boot. Light, looks good and has solid traction, you can 100% see and feel the quality. Only thing is that if I didn’t have them to the perfect tightness (laces wise) then my feet would begin to hurt and ache. But I think that’s just something that’s an issue with my own feet.

Very sleek urban hybrid look that blends well in all settings. Well build and feels robust. Primary concerns very narrow, even the wide ones. Had to try multiple times to find the right fit and the insole for ba $200+ boots are rather flimsy and leave a lot to be desired. That is why I docked a star otherwise, this is a Five Start product.

Excellent boot. Fit well out of the box and even better after just 5 miles of wearing them to really mold to my feet. I have worn only wide toe box shoes for 2+ years now (Altra, Lems) so have had an extremely difficult time finding insulated winter boots. These are not wide toe box boots, but the lacing goes down towards toes enough I can relax it over the toes and still cinch it down around the ankle to provide a snug fit. I have now worn them for 30+ miles in a variety of wet and snowy conditions and over rocky scrambles. No blisters; unlike my Bean boots I’ve worn for 10 years hiking. These Danner boots are made for winter hiking. The sole has great wet traction and cushioning protects over uneven terrain. I have worn with micro spikes and also trail crampons, both fit great. I like the Achilles notch in the back for good ankle flex when walking. Highly recommend.
