Designed for use in mountain warfare, the Gavre is built with a fully rubberized outsole and integrated polypropylene board providing optimal stability underfoot in higher elevations, while still maintaining flexibility for lower-land operations.

Outstanding Product

I'm ordering my 2nd pair of these boots and for good reason. I've worn these almost everyday for the last 2 years. I'm only ordering another pair because the bottoms are starting to wear out. I've done some serious hiking with these, from the back woods of MN to my current home in the northern Rockies. I've also used them for snowshoeing which they worked great for. They've kept my feet comfy and dry. Even during the summer, with a decent pair of merino wool socks, I never thought my feet felt hot. They also don't look bad compared to other hiking boots. For the price I doubt I'll be changing anytime soon.
