I like the Wellington boots

I like the Wellington boots very well. As with most new generation boots, there doesn’t seem to be much of a heel pocket. This is my only concern with these boots. Otherwise I like them very much.

I chose a wide width

I chose a wide width to allow for multiple pure wool sock options. I wear a sock liner and Darn Tough wool sock with all Danner boots. The boot in all dimensions of build is excellent. Do use cedar shoe trees at all times. The break in period is average. Do have ultrathin and thick wool socks handy to make adjustments for comfort as needed. Buy two pairs of these if possible.

This is my second pair

This is my second pair of Strongholds. Comfortable boot and sturdy with the exception of the lining. The lining will eventually tear at the back of the heel area making the boots impossible to get off. The good news is that it will take 5 years or so before this happens.
