Best boots I wouldn’t have had to replace them if the hospital hadn’t cut mine off when I broke my ankle. I bought my other boots in around 1998 and they were still going strong. Wouldn’t wear anything else.

Great fit and feel! Took about two weeks for my feet to get use to them. They are great in the mud and in the woods, they keep my feet warm enough. Well worth the price!

Stitching

I work as a forester and found these boots to be very heavy duty and durable. They are very warm. Still had to break them in and I cut the stitching on rocks so the seams were beginning to come undone. I didn't buy the right size, I'm usually a 7 or 7.5 and I got these in a 7 but they fit slightly too big.

The only thing I don't

The only thing I don't like about these boots is that a section of the sole between the heel and the ball of the foot has no lugs is actually pretty slippery. At work every day, I have to hike in very uneven, very brushy terrain, where you usually can't see your feet. I step very carefully, but when that's the part of my foot making contact with a smooth wet branch, that's when I tend to slip while walking in these boots. Everything else about them is great. I ordered a half-size down and they fit fine and are comfortable as long as I skip using the grommets for the laces at the top. I've only used them for a few weeks but so far the waterproofing is holding up fine.

I’m a metal lather and

I’m a metal lather and hiker who consistently walks/climbs on rebar and rocks. I can say that walking on rebar slab can sometimes be a balancing act. In the past you can feel the bar through my work boot. With danner I felt as if I have a solid flat surface with every step. Super comfortable, no break in time. The Plastic heel that is included have an extra sense of stability. I have worn on rain and my feet have stood dry. I can only hope that the boot lasts. While hiking the boot has a great grip during rock scrambles. if I can buy in bulk I would.
