Good boots + good accessories = a great experience

These are sturdy, dependable and look fantastic! I bought the wide size with met/nmt as I'm working a job in which many certifications require them as PPE. As a wide, they allow plenty of room for my toes to splay and plant in technical situations, without just letting my whole foot rattle around in there. The care kit recommended has a boot conditioner that has worked exceptionally well, with most messes only requiring a damp towel scrub down followed by conditioning. The leather, while obviously a thick cut and very solid, becomes more supple and easy to move in with each condition. I haven't used any boot washes with them yet. I wear two pairs of socks in my work boots as well - a pair of Injinji toe sock liners, for a thin, coolmax next-to-skin layer under smartwool or darn tough merino socks to help wick and cushion, and while these boots are a little warm (duh, they're leather) this setup means I've never once felt my toes slick with sweat against each other, even in the middle of whole-body flop sweats.
