These are the best looking, fitting, and feeling work pants I've ever found. I'm 5'4" and 120 lbs. Size 2x30 is what fits me best. Although they are not at all tight, they have a slim fitting shape all the way from thigh to knee which is very flattering on my shorter legs. Yes they have a wide leg opening but I wear big chunky hiking boots for work and I NEED there to be some flare to fit over my boots--otherwise pants get bunched up around my ankles and it looks ridiculous. The stretchy corduroy is soo comfortable for work where I am constantly climbing, kneeling, and bending. I cannot find these anywhere anymore and I'm very sad as I'd order several more pairs. I've resorted to getting the 32" length which is a little easier to locate and plan on shortening them somehow. Carhartt, please make these or another pant with the same fit-and-flare shape and stretchiness again, I'm begging!!!!
