Good quality as expected from most Carhartt products. I use this shirt for layering and it is working quite well. My chest measures 37-38 inches and my normal size is Medium which I ordered for this shirt. Just a little snug across the top of the chest. A Large would of been too big for sure. I use this shirt as a second layer over an Expedition weight base layer. My third layer is a goose down parka (650 fill). Not cold at all down to 25 degrees so far. I have room to add two more layers if need be if it gets really cold.
A little stiff when new, but seems repeated washings will get that stiffness out. Says DO NOT use fabric softener for some reason. Normally you can use a fabric softener with cotton. Don't understand that at all.
