Why is the top so large?

Today's style of jeans are a slimmer fit. For reference I wear Wrangler Retro jeans. The top of the boot makes the jeans protrude out and look odd. I like the look of the lower portion of the boot so I'll have to drill some holes and zip tie the top.

Great boots. Most comfortable boots I own. But the stitching on the right boot around the sole is a little off. Otherwise would be 5 stars. Didn’t send them back because I bought them for fall fishing boots so I’m gonna tear them up anyways. Really diggin these boots though would definitely recommend!

I owned red wing boots twisted x Cody James but carhartt is by far the best boot for comfortable

Carhartt you done it again great boot comfort out of the box it make 12 hr day a lot better thank you true to size I wear 8 1/2 in it’s a perfect fit
