Thin material

I really love carhartt and especially appreciate the thickness in their sweatshirts. It??s hard to find a good thick sweatshirt for my kids and that??s why I ordered this sweatshirt. I was shocked to see how thin it was. In the description it says it??s made of ??heavyweight cotton?? but this is light weight. Pretty disappointing.
