the pair I received seems to fit a bit high on the waist as opposed to below the waist as advertised.

I love the 50/50 blend. Such a practical and comfortable fabric. Great work pants for warm or damp conditions, or any conditions really. The pants fit high on my waist, and they seem a bit snug in the waist compared to other 36 inch waist pants that I own. Maybe this is due to vanity sizing? How about a variation of these pants with cargo pockets? Or even better, a little elastic or spandex tastefully incorporated into the waistband to accommodate an outdoor worker who bends and kneels repeatedly after a big lunch. Cheers!

Absolutely Fantastic

These are absolutely the best pants I've ever had. They still have the Carhartt fit we all love (but on the tight side, get a size up from your usual) and the rip-stop weave for assurance on the job site. Really, I love the fabric the most. It breathes very well (this is nylon, not polyester) and it dries incredibly quickly. I've come in from the rain and my pants are dry in under 30 minutes while people with 100% cotton pants are wet for hours. Simply the best pants I've ever owned.
