I dont know what Carhartt has done with their denim material but it now feels like tissue paper. What a shame.

I was in the market for a pair of jeans that I would be versatile and comfortable without sacrificing style. I'm a thirty something businessman who travels extensively across the continental US. I prefer to travel light with business attire and one pair of jeans that I can dress up or down. It is important that I can wear the jeans on the plane and in the evening with clients. I decided to try Carhartt since I had found several other brands to be either uncomfortable or dated in appearance. I'm 6' 3" tall with a 35" inseam. I typically buy 36" length jeans so as not to appear as though I'm awaiting the next flood. Unfortunately most 36" length jeans are too long and gather at the cuff like an accordian. I found the Relaxed-Fit Prewash Jean-Straight Leg to give me the perfect fit. Not too short and not too long. Best of all the legs aren't baggy and although technically they are not skinny jeans, they give me a fresh modern look without sacrificing comfort. I'm able to engage in vigorous activity without restriction of movement. On dates I merely put on a dress shirt along with my Relaxed-Fit Prewash Jean-Straight Leg and I'm ready for fine dining and dancing. I own over a half dozen pairs of jeans and clearly my Carhartt Relaxed-Fit Prewash Jean-Straight Leg are head and shoulders above the rest.
