This is the first mediocre review I have about a Carhartt product. I have had several pair of these gloves. The first three pair were exceptional and lasted a long time. I use them for moving and installing the furniture and custom cabinetry that I make. I also use them to load/unload the materials - mostly cabinet grade lumber- that I use to make my products. I also use them to do yard work on the weekends. I heard a rumor that Carhartt was going to discontinue these gloves so I ordered three pair all at once. I have been disappointed with this last batch. None of the gloves have lasted very long and I haven't used them differently than any of the others. I wonder what happened (?).

I used these gloves to handle 6 cords firwood each year. They are outstanding compared to the pig skin gloves I have purchased in the past. Plan to purchase this product agian .

I used these gloves a couple of hours (5 or 6 to be honest) before they went bust. A major hole in the middle finger (left glove although I am right handed) after I moved a few logs I had just cut up with my chainsaw. OK : they're comfy but what about durability ? What's the use of a pair of gloves which fails to protect your fingers I ask ? I used to trust Carhartt... Now, I'm not so sure any longer.
