The cooler is made out of the heavy material that one thinks of when they hear Carhartt - I haven't used it yet - but the size of the cooler department is great for a day trip and the top portion there is plenty of room for all of the other items you may need for your lunch.

Absolutely amazing. I work the county road department and I would always carry a cooler and a back pack with extra gloves hats and clothes and this made it so much easier to only carry one thing. Definitely will be buying my father one for work

I love this bag, I take it with me to work everyday. The cooler part is great and I like the added function of the bag portion. The material is very durable and goes great with my Carhartt clothes. I've taken this bag on hikes and was comfortable on my back the whole time, although I wouldn't mind a buckle in the middle for added comfort. my only complaint is I've noticed the cooler tends to shift independently of the back pack when setting it down. It can be annoying when you're trying to sit it up right. Otherwise it's my new favorite bag.

Love the backpack just wish the bottom would be more rigid I work construction and love the top compartment for extra clothes gloves and other various things such as non cooling items, if the main compartment was a little bigger for extra sweater that would be nice, the pockets and organization is great. All it needs is a rigid bottom for the cooler part as to when working in construction they take abuse. Thank you over all great product just could use a bit more upgrades
