My boyfriend is a welder, and he swears by these pants. they protect him from getting burned and they last a long time. they also have the slot where you can put knee pads in if you want. we have been buying these for several years now. highly recommend. i recommend going up one size on the waste band as they are a little small and somewhat shrink with time. he wears a 34 waste but buys a 36 in carhartt
