Comfortable with cargo pockets on both sides and knee pad pockets make these pants perfect for working on the landscape on your knees. The older version of steel pants arent as rugged but they are cooler on a hot day. Although it is more difficult to get the knee pads into the bottom of the knee pad pockets on older style pant it works better because the new style with velcro closure on top tends to catch on things and collects debris. The older style pant only has cargo pocket on one side though

I bought a pair of these pants about 8 months ago. They quickly became my favorite work pants! I loved the way they fit, and feel. In winter great with a base layer, and in summer they arent too heavy. I do a wide range of construction from interior finish to siding/ stucco, and the kneepad insert makes these pants perfect for whatever the day brings. My only issue is after 8 months the inseam of the pants tore on one pair near the crotch, and on the other they tore right in front of the right pocket ?? for the price of $90 I'd expect them to hold up longer than that. Still my favorite carhartt pants design, but wish they lasted longer.

Please make these in other colors! This are my husband's favorite summer work pant. But he also cares about not looking like he's wearing the same pants everyday, so he wears other Carhartt styles that he prefers for other seasons

Great work pants. Just one issue, the pants do not come with the knee pads. For the price you pay you get a quality pair of pants, but kind of ridiculous that it doesn't come with the knee pads.
