Carhartt 102987 - Rugged Flex® Rigby Bib

My first pair of overalls, good quality and fit, standard convenient pockets and for most folks your normal waist size is fine unless you really want to layer up. Not a huge fan of the fasteners but will get used to them. I would think these will last me for many, many years and possibly forever as I only wear for occasional chores and projects, for people that wear everyday I think they’d hold up well, perhaps not as sturdy as duck bibs, however you get a lot of comfort with these. Please know this review is only for the product. This company seems fine to deal with. Carhartt managed to take a good product and specifically redesign it to be as useless as possible. I am an average sized guy and clothes always seem to fit me off the rack. I ordered these Carhartt overalls according to their sizing instructions (buy your regular pants size) and they were like wearing a clown suit, with lots of terrible design flaws: 1) Even with the shoulder straps shortened as much as possible, the crotch was down around my knees. If I pulled them up to where the crotch would fit, the belt line was up to my nipples. 2) As others have mentioned, the pocket redesign is terrible. The zippered chest pocket is way to shallow for a phone, glasses, or anything else you may want to put in it. The "pencil stall" works fine as long as you never use a pencil longer than an inch. 3) The shoulder strap clasps are redesigned to be as difficult to use as possible. The only redeeming factor with these is the fabric, which seems rather durable for a lightweight material.

These are the most comfortable bibs I’ve ever worn. Seriously feels like you’re wearing pajamas, lol. Order your regular pants size, or maybe just one size up, but not like regular overalls or you’ll end up with what I experienced buying my first pair; a crotch that hangs halfway to your knees. I’ve worn these to work and so far so good. I’ve heard some complaints about the straps and buckles, and I’m not a huge fan of the elastic straps but not a deal breaker. I put on my dark khaki ones to go to work last night and ended up changing because they look almost too nice for work. Love the phone pocket on the leg also, as it keeps the bib pocket from getting too heavy and sagging. Worth the money, get yourself a pair!

Love them for everything but the pockets. They are entirely too small. Why didn't you just use the same pockets from your other overalls?
