Carhartt 101734 - Women's Full Swing™ Quick Duck® Norwich Jacket

I love this coat! It keeps me warm without looking bulky. I also LOVE the left arm pocket, it's very convenient and I get a lot of compliments on it.

I purchased this jacket because the description stated it was flexible which is what I was looking for. It is flexible and soft: much different than your father's Carhartt. Fit for me is OK but could use improvement. I bought a Large (12-14) based on the chest measurement, which fits. The problem is the coat bells out from there (a lot !). . I've been wearing a down sweater or vest under it which helps a lot. I probably should have gone with the Medium but I was worried about the chest (for reference: 5'6" 150 36DD). The coat is a little short for me, too, I would prefer more length. Also, the front pockets are at an odd angle. They are patch pockets which is great but hard to access. Coat is not heavy and if you are just standing around, it likely won't cut it. It's a midweight at best. I do like how much you can stretch and move though.

I had high hopes for this jacket but wasn't sure if it would live up to them in person. I'm 5'11" so I was concerned the sleeves would be too short as has been my experience with other women's carhatt jackets, but that wasn't the case! The ribbed cuffs are thick and long and very comfortable and the shoulder gusset prevents them from riding up when moving your arms. I usually wear a small but occasionally a medium. I purchased this jacket in a small and it fits me well, roomy enough for layers underneath but fitted enough that it can be worn without layers and still looks great! For reference, I have a North Face jacket which fits similarly and is a medium. Lots of great pockets that are very functional. The dusty plum is a beautiful color and is pretty accurate to picture but maybe slightly more purple in person but it is quite dark and I imagine it will go with a lot. As advertised the material is super soft but still has the signature Carhartt canvas look and feel. Though it is soft, the shell still seems thick and durable. I have only worn it without layers so far and has been very warm, and believe with some layers it will keep me warm at the barn in the early mornings when it dips well below freezing! It's so nice to have finally found a durable warm winter jacket that is comfortable and not bulky at all, the fact that it looks so good is just a huge plus!!! I definitely recommend this jacket!

I love this jacket but it already has a tear on the inside seam and I have only had it for two months. I use it mostly for casual use so there is no reason for the tear. The buttons are pretty stiff and it looks like they might rip through the fabric on the waist. However, I really do like the look and fit of this jacket. It keeps me warm and very comfortable.

This jacket is the best Carhartt I have ever purchased! It is so soft on the outer shell, like I have had it for years. The new full swing back is absolutely amazing and makes the jacket super comfortable. It is super warm without the bulk of most winter jackets. I love all the pockets it has to offer and love having the hood without it being bulky. I highly recommend this jacket!
