Typical Carhartt Quality, I was looking for a light to mediun coat, this one is just the ticket! Love the sherpa in the upper back and shoulder area, the fleece/flannel is perfect. Just exactly what I was looking for, and the free shipping was very fast! Well Done.

I work on the railroad so I am swinging sledge hammers and spike mauls a lot and this coat is greatest thing for that type of work. I couldn't believe how easy it was to move in when I got it. Carhartt you guys really did it with this one. I will be telling everyone at work to go pick one of these coats up.

This jacket is great, its well made, the mobility in it is awesome also; but its very light for what i was expecting. This is not a jacket for us northern Canadian boys, so if your up north like me your going to want to get something different. This will not keep you warm... Its definitely good for fall, early winter and spring but as far as dead of winter coldness, it wont cut it. Even with layers and a hoodie you probably wont be very warm with this coat. They also run a little large i find compared to other brands so you might want to size down.... All in all though, great jacket for cutting wood and working outside on mild winter days. I definitely like it, and well worth $129, you cant go wrong with a well made jacket at that price.

This Jacket is comfortable, has gussets in all the right places making it easy to move with near zero restrictions. Cuffs prevent cold air coming up the arms making it extremely but not uncomfortable hot.

Though I may no be your typical Carhartt wearer..... I AM! I'm 5'11" at 158lbs., very active, slim male. I have been wearing Carhartt since I was 16 and I still wear my first polar jacket/bib set, to this day. Which currently would be half my life, since I'm 33. Upon arrival of my (size L) Full Swing Sandstone Jacket, I opened the box and was very happy with the feel of the partially broken in sandstone fabric. I immediately put it on and never really took it off, only recently, but we are having some very chilly days and a lot of cold nights this spring, so I'm still happily wearing it. I have been eyeballing the "sandstone" (broken in for you) fabric for quite some time. For I worked VERY hard... and dirty, to break in all my Carhartt outerwear(which some of us praise ourselves when accomplishing), this jacket needed minimal time. The sleeve cuffs were a bit rough on the wrists for the first couple weeks(wear and wash solves that), but I love the arch cut sleeves and tucked cuffs. That is a HOME RUN design for Carhartt, which this jacket has a lot of, slaughtering the competition. The deep outside pockets are perfect, the inside left chest pocket w/zipper, perfect, and inside right front mid chest velcro pocket is, perfect. This jacket has fabric that goes behind the zipper to reassure wind is staying out, another great addition to the Full Swing. Mobility is outstanding, this jacket doesn't restrict your motion at all, even with a thick polar Carhartt hoodie on. The armpit area inside and out was very well thought up and the fleece lining is wonderful and very warm, when need be. The collar is soft out of the box and with snowplowing, I had minimal irritation after 2 days of constant work. We will see how next snow season goes, since I'm still wearing this jacket into this cool June here in the Midwest(northern Illinois). I write this review after racking up a ton of washes to this jacket to help give an accurate review. And just like a true Carhartt, No shrink, still tough, no fraying, but the fabric did softened more, though you think it's not possible with the soft sandstone duck. Now to the last thing that I'm not a fan of. Being an active workaholic, this doesn't bother me to much, but it's worth noting, The mid section is a bit big(round) for us slim, tall guys and gales. Carhartt needs to either bring in the mid section 2"-4" or discuss making Medium Tall's for us long armed, slim bellied counter parts in the workforce. Having no elastic band at the bottom is OK, but with the mid section having enough room for a pregnant man, it's a little bit bulky when sitting or bending over. ALL IN ALL, I LOVE THIS JACKET & YOU WILL TOO!!!! It's definitely my top pick!!! For business and pleasure.

I own many different Carhartt jackets and/or coats and have worn them in a variety of settings for a variety of purposes. I have / have had Ranch Coats, Detroit Jacket, Sandstone Hooded Jacket and Regular Duck jackets in addition to a Soft Shell jacket which is my most recent acquisition. The Full Swing Jacket has become my favorite as it addresses any shortfalls with the other jackets and includes the best features that some jackets may have one or the other, but not all.
I found myself admiring the thought that went in to the design of this jacket. I thought to myself how whoever designed this jacket must have evaluated many other coats and explored how they could have been made better. From the Sandstone fabric to the extended length tail, this jacket exceeds all expectations. Every detail seems to have been well thought out. The angle cut cuffs, pocket number, style and location, sherpa lining and pleated shoulder cut are all features that I feel were hit and miss on other jacket styles. This jacket has them all. The jacket is also very comfortable whether in cool to very cold weather. Awesome Jacket!

I didn't notice anything different when I wore this jacket, but that's the point. I didn't notice the cold wind trying to blow up my back or up my sleeves. That's why this jacket is great for the person working in the cold, because they don't have to stop to fix their jacket to keep the cold out. Plus it's made out of Carhartt's Sandstone Duck material that blocks out the cold wind and rain. Also it will last forever because it's Made in the USA by people who take pride in what they make. I'd recommend this jacket to anyone.

This jacket is a great culmination of years of carhartt styles. Concealed but rugged cuffs, extended tail, sherpa fleece lining, and a great overall look to it.
