These are super comfy and very slimming. The elastic waist is so comfortable for working and bending over all day. I am a landscaper and I only wear Carhartt because nothing else stands up to the daily abuse. These are the most comfortable pair of shorts I have ever worn working. Only down side is that when I have a tape measure hanging on my pocket sometimes it pulls down on the waistband a little due to the elastic. Not a huge problem, but my other Carhartts didn't do that, so just a little different experience. So light weight, durable, and attractive looking. All stains come out easy and the wicking is extra nice for hot sweaty days. Love these and will be ordering more!

I have a pair in each color. They wash well, are comfortable, and pack well. I love the long inseam and the cargo pockets. The waistband helps as many shorts require you to be super curvy and these work well for my shape. I would LOVE more color options! Forest Green, Navy Blue, Black? I do not use them for construction work....but have worn them for casual days at work and for hiking and weekend gardening and projecting.

I am renovating an abandoned house by myself. I bought Carhartt pants over the winter to wear to work over there, and shorts for this summer. The pants were so uncomfortable I quit wearing them. The shorts are uncomfortable exactly the same way the pants were. They do not appear to be designed for women to do construction work. I have been tearing down wood walls and ceilings, planing them, then putting them back up, tiling my laundry room floor, installing fixtures, ripping out a window and replacing it with patio doors, and so on. I have put these to the test and they have failed. I had hoped that Carhartt would design clothes for actual work. These shorts are so poorly designed that they make my work more difficult. First, they are way too tight. I am 5'7", 110 pounds, with a 32" inseam. I bought a size 2, but then tried 4s to see if they would be better. These hit my legs right around where they are on the model. When shorts end right there, if they are tight then they grab onto the top of your thighs when you try to step up onto a scaffold or ladder, and you cannot step up without pulling up the leg of your shorts. I spend my day hiking up the leg of my shorts just so I can step up. If I roll them up then they are better. If you actually sweat in these things then you will be really miserable because they are then wet and tight, and you will not be able to move. They do not wick sweat. They absorb it and you are going to be a soggy sausage in these things. Because they are so snug, if you try to bend over you are going to have a fight on your hands. They are going to grab you everywhere they can and keep you from actually bending over. I look ridiculous trying to pick up things because I have to hike up the shorts legs then pull down the crotch of them so they do not split me in two. Second, they are so tight and uncomfortable that you will be miserable by the end of the day, but ironically, the pockets and hammer loop hang down. Hopefully I will be able to attach pictures that show me carrying the full arsenal for a day of wood work. I have a rubber mallet in the hammer loop, a box cutter and tape in my back pocket, and brad nailer clipped in my left front pocket. Even without the box cutter, the back pocket seam is so loose that it almost takes two hands to clip my tape to my back pocket. The hammer loop starts to hang as the day wears on so I almost need two hands for that. These shorts definitely wear me out with all the extra work I have to do to keep my tools on me. Carhartt needs to work on the fit and they need to design their women's clothes for work; with reinforced pocket seams, hammer loops on each side, and a box cutter pocket on the side. I bet the men's shorts are not this tight. I bet they have a nice, relaxed fit and are designed for real work. I paid way too much for these to not be researched and designed for women to wear while doing work for which I thought they were intended.

I absolutely LOVE these shorts. I own 3 pairs in both size 4 and 6 because I'm kind of in between sizes. Both fit well, but the 6 just gives me a little extra room. The large elastic waistband is awesome. These are the most comfortable, best fitting shorts I have ever worn. I don't use them for work purposes so I can't comment on durability, but they seem well made. Please, please, PLEASE add more colors. A green would be nice and a camo would be even better!!! I keep coming back to the website to buy more, but I won't until there is more color variety!!! Pleeeeease!! :-)

I bought these shorts to wear outside in the heat(moisture wicking). They work great!! Fit is great. I will be ordering another pair!!
