Carhartt 100365 - Women's El Paso Ripstop Relaxed Fit Pant

I was looking for pants I could bike in and teach in. These are them! These pants are comfortable for my 20 minute bike ride to work and are professional for the work place and teaching college students. They're comfortable and cute and exactly what I was looking for.

I love these pants and they suit me perfectly. These are Carhartt's relaxed fit. The size 4 is appropriately loose and comfy but looks neat and trim. In non-Carhartt products I wear size 2, 4, and 6, depending on the manufacturer. I chose the light color. I wanted an alternative to jeans that would be cool and comfortable in the summer, yet heavy enough to wear through fall. It's still summer but I can already tell these pants will be fine in the fall. I have never been a fan of skin tight jeans or pants. Over the years it's become increasingly difficult to find jeans and pants that deviate from the "skinny" and "ankle" style. So I was very happy to find this style on Carhartt's website. In particular I like the width from the knees to the ankle. Not too big, not too small. I also appreciate the 100% cotton fabric. Nothing feels better against my skin than 100% natural fibers. I don't buy jeans or pants that are poly-cotton blends. You really have to look because manufacturers are sneaking it into everything these days! My only criticism of this fine product is the included belt is too short. It should be about two inches longer. The proper fit for a belt is two empty holes when fastened. In my case I wear it on the second hole which leaves only one empty hole. The belt is a freebie so can't complain too much about that though. I liked these so much I bought two pair. I might even go back and buy the dark color. We have a Carhatt store not too far away with lots of neat stuff.

I love Carhartt products, I would wear them night and day. Unfortunately pants are not made for skinny women, even size 0 runs large. I wish Carhartt would listen and start carrying smaller sizes and not only blue jeans. If there were twill carpenter pants in xs or 00 sizes in other colors than jeans I would be a regular. El Paso pants are great looking, durable but had to return them since it was running too large. I would buy them again once Carhartt starts to cater to smaller women.

OK pants but the cargo pockets are way too small and worthless. Please make them bigger and useful like the cropped pants and shorts of the past. Also the material is not as nice as before, why do you change a good thing when you have it? We don't care about the latest fashion or we wouldn't be buying Carhartts in the first place. I'll take functional stuff - thanks!
