I don't believe in any footwear being better than another. Especially when it comes to boots out in the thick of winter. Any time I've purchased boots in the past I've always been left with cold feet after my expeditions. I purchased these in April 2020 and have yet to use them in the harsh North Dakota conditions. However, I have used them in 20 degree weather so far and they are incredible. I'm a believer. They're comfortable. They fit so well and slide off and on super easy. There's no fight to get them on and taking them off after working in them is still a piece of cake. I'm excited to use them this upcoming winter and will probably buy a second set of working-type boots. Thanks BOGS!

The task is great, with a little chunkier sole and a bit taller than my Classic Ultra Mids, which I love. The Mids are good for everything, but now I wear the Tasks for heavier duty chores or when I'll be in tall wet grass, plus they are just as comfortable and not heavy. I am pleased that Task is just as easy to get on and off hands-free as the Mids. And let's face it... that's a big reason we love our Bogs, right? The Task is now my other go-to Bog boot around the farm. Size 12 is perfect for me both the Mids and Task. For comparison, I am a size 12 in Nike, 11 in Converse, 11.5 in Allen Edmonds.

I purchased these boots for work in the yard and garden, rainy days outside with the kids, and random chores requiring waterproof boots. They are well made, great tread, not as heavy as they look, and just the right height. That's the good. However... while I understand rubber boots are not meant to fit like a lace-up boot, and they're not made for hiking, I did find these boots to be so loose that walking in them is akin to walking in flip flops. Because there are no half sizes, and I'm a very true size 10 (ie the bottom of the range for this boot size) the boots feel like they are closer to size 10.5 / 11 and my heel lifts with every step. There is a lot of room fore and aft, but there's also a lot of room in the heel and ankle to the point my heel isn't locked in. Again, they're rain boots, not hiking boots... so I can't be too critical. But I am disappointed in my heel hurting after pushing the wheelbarrow up the small hill in my yard a few times in a row. I can't tell if a size 9 would have been more appropriate, or perhaps this boot just isn't meant for my foot.

I've had 2 pair of the Ropers and we're a great. The Task is a bit more better and should give me many years of use.
