Pretty good overalls

From: Central IL Age: 18-24 Gender: Male
I work snow removal and farm during this past winter with record low colds. I can count on these overalls every shift to have my back and keep the cold out. I haven’t gone more than 2 days without using these in a 6+ hour shift. Safe to say I put them through the ringer. Ordered a couple sizes wider for layers, so they fit nice. The fabric is getting a little worn but that’s expected. Good investment for the buck.

Size matters

From: KS Age: 55-65 Gender: Male
Ordered the exact item number that I had worn out. Guess Carhart has changed the way they size garments. Had to return as they were way big. Return process was very simple. Re-ordered my actual pant size and fit was right on. So...just be aware that if you are replacing your old worn out pair, don't assume it will be the same item #.

They are pricey compared to other brands.

the only thing I would change is the pliers pocket. Too small and pliers fall right out

Low marks explained

From: Inchelium, Wa. Age: Over 65 Gender: Male
I have been wearing Carhartts for over 40 years and do like the R37s but they do not make a 28 inch inseam which is the length I require. Having bibs that are too long creates a safety issue when wearing these while working on our ranch operating equipment, working in the woods getting on and off the skidder climbing ladders and walking through brush. Now they are being made of a thinner material and do not hold up like they used to.

Unlined Zip-to-Thigh? YES!

From: Florence, AL Age: 55-65 Gender: Male
I've always said I wish someone made zip-to-thigh non-insulated overalls. No taking off my boots to get them on or off. I mentioned this to my 34 year old son who has watched me transition over the years from work provided FRC coveralls to insulated coveralls and eventually the more comfortable and practical insulated overalls. I had never bought any unlined overalls simply because of the short leg zippers. Fortunately for me, with Christmas coming up, my son listened and did his research. He found these by Carhartt. I didn't know anyone was making them. Except for maybe a hat this is my first Carhartt anything and will be recommending them to friends and co-workers. There was trial and error on the size. I've seen some say to order your pants size. I usually buy 30x34 for a snug fit with a length to drape my boots. My son guessed and bought 34x36(I think). They swallowed me so he returned them for my 30x34. The bib came to about my nose. I returned them for 30x32 and they are perfect. For reference I am 5'9" and 160-165 pounds.
