I work in a mine in Australia and with a one hour drive to and from work at either end of my 12 hour shift I spend at least 14 hours a day in my Buckeyes, 6 days a week. The only time I feel like I'm wearing boots and not carpet slippers is when I'm scrambling over rocks and rough ground. The ankle support and the shank in the sole mean that there is never any chance of injury or discomfort on any surface, and the Gore Tex bootie and Thinsulate liner mean that my feet are always warm and dry no matter what. The Buckeye also looks so good I bought another pair for casual wear under my jeans.
