15 years in my old pair, still functional.

From:  Age:  Gender:
I never leave reviews, but in this case I feel I must. I just bought a pair of these after over 15 years of wearing and abusing my last pair. I don’t wear them everyday, but they ride on the back of my work truck for occasions when they are needed. I grew up in lacrosse boots. Got pairs for Christmas and birthdays as I outgrew them. But in my adult life, now 36, this is only the second pair that I’ve ever purchased for myself. My previous pair has been buried in west Texas mud and water, drug across caliche rocks, caught sparks and molten slag from welding pipelines, stepped on hot metal during field fabrication (leaving burn marks and indentations), trotted through horse manure while tending to fence in the rain, climbed ladders, been exposed to over 15 years of sunlight and weather on the back of my truck, and have seen many states and back country fields in my travels. I currently work in the sugar industry and my boots have seen the worst of what I can throw at them here. From standing in 150 degree mud (a byproduct of the sugar production), to being sprayed with hydraulic oil, partially submerged in diesel and oil, doused with lime and caustic soda, walking on grating, concrete, rock, sand, mud, and being exposed to various chemicals, cleaning agents, and blazing hot temperatures and sub zero days (although not as often). These boots held up as best they could. I finally walked the heels off of them and there’s barely any tread left under them. But they have never let water in despite all this. I bought a new pair because walking flat footed with no heels got awkward and slightly uncomfortable, but these boots still did their job. Although I have a new pair, I can’t bring myself to throw the old ones away. Because honestly they are still effective and do their job. So they will remain on the bed of my truck, right next to my welding machine and my new pair. Thank you honestly, for one of the most durable boots I could ever purchase, see yall again in another 15 years hopefully.

Durable boots

From:  Age:  Gender:
These new boots are just like my old pair of Lacrosse Granges they are replacing. The old boots lasted 19 years; I hope to get the same life out of these. I use them nearly every day spring through fall to walk the dog.

I have worn Grange boots

From:  Age:  Gender:
I have worn Grange boots literally for decades. They were better when they were domestic but they are still the best boot out there. Until it gets quite cold it is the only boot I wear to the woods. They will get hot in direct sunlight but they are lighter and cooler than any of the neoprene boots out there, and with proper socks I can still sit to about 35 degrees. . Staying dry is obvious, but I also wear them where it is dry as my first line of defense against ticks…won’t walk in the woods without them! Lastly, because they have a distinct “rubber” or petroleum odor brand new, you do have to “break them in”, but long term they are one of my key elements in scent control when hunting/scouting for deer. In addition to the Grange, I also have insulated LaCrosse boots for winter…as a traditional bowhunter, it doesn’t make since to me to wear something else. Their “ankle fit” makes them all “travel well”.

Extra durable and great fit

From:  Age:  Gender:
13 years ago I walked into a second hand shop and saw a brand new pair of grange boots sitting on the shelf for $20 "used. " I was going to pass them up since nothing off the shelf fits my feet anymore and size 11 normal is usually too narrow in the toe box. My wife convinced me to try them on and I was not ready for what happened next, they fit like a custom designed boot. I walked up and down the isles of the store just to make sure. . . yup, a perfect fit. I have since worn these boots for three seasons every year in the Cascades Range of Northern Oregon and it took 13 years of heavy use for them to finally wear through. They have seen dozens of deer hunts, hundreds of bird hunts, thousands of mushroom forays, and countless fishing trips (gotta stop and drop a line in every creek, river, and pond). They have been clamming, crabbing, and crunched across countless barnacles, and have even held my shaking feet while I stood down a bear. It's sad that I have to replace my reliable grange boots, but I see now that they also come in mossy oak bottomland, my preferred camo pattern. Thank you for not following the trend of narrowing the toe box in boots, I'm excited to slap on a new pair of grange boots this fall and head out into deer season secure that my feet will be dry in the wet cascades.
