Keen 1017828 - Logandale Mid WP

Picked these up at REI for work. If your feet run wide, these are nice. If you've worn New Balance 990s, they fit similar. Mine are 10Ds and plenty wide. My company buys boots so I've had Danners, Thoroughgoods, Red Wings, Carolinas, etc. and the others eventually have to stretch sideways for my outside bone to make room. Danners run NARROW. All good boots but these had zero break in time to get comfy. I haven't had broken eyelet issues, water doesn't run over the tongue and get my feet wet, still the same laces, and the soles are crazy durable. Walking outside in the rain all day through weeds, I don't remember my feet getting wet. Also in 110 degree summers, they are lighter and feel cooler than some others. This review is at the end of a year btw. Lastly, the soles - I worry when it's a company specific unnamed sole - but I've walked on railroad ballast for 100s of miles and there are still almost all of the wavey pattern on the bottom. If you know, you know, that's nuts. The styling isn't for everyone but function over form (and they're decent looking imo :). I might do the Stronglites next but if you want to try this boot, I thought a real-world experience with them might help.

I have had my keens for about 3 years. They are finally starting to show wear. I work in an industrial maintenance position so I am always on my feet. While the cushioning inside could be a bit softer and more comfortable. The durability and construction of these boots are superb. I have tried diffrent brands that were slightly more comfortable but were a lot less durable. They would last a year if that. You can adjust the comfort level with diffrent insoles but the quality is definitely the longer lasting construction. Will be getting another pair soon.

These boots lasted me over a year in heavy construction. You can literally stand in water and mud continue doing your job without having to worry about water coming inside your boots. The outersoles can take a beating if your cutting lots of steel or concrete never had any issues with the leather getting torn up. Lots of toe space upfront too. For being a steel toe boot these are very lightweight I could easily jump around and get in places without feeling like I have boat anchors attached to me. Great investment I will definitely keep buying Keens.

Fits and wears as expected. Why did I wait so long? Oh yeah, it's because my previous pair wouldn't give up until they finally did (around 12 years).

Amazing shoes! Worksites I walk on have rugged and mud terrain and these shoes are great. My feet stay dry despite the shoes get buried in the mud. These are waterproof and very easy to clean. Very comfortable shoes and long lasting. Looks great too. I wear these on winter too. Very durable material used on the shoes and high quality.

Such a damn good boot and actually last on tough surfaces. The laces don’t last a month and lace loops need to be a metal loop hole instead what’s on there. Other than that I keep buying these because they do last, I figured out a way not to brake the loops. Keen definitely has to change it

My old pair lasted 2 years before the sole split into 2 at the flex point. I will get them repaired and use them for home repairs. I walked 17,891 steps yesterday in my new pair and they are super comfortable. Bad boots can ruin your day. After 17 years in construction, I have found the golden boot. Thank you for protecting my feet and my family.
