Excellent boots for the clearance price

Excellent boots at a great price. Got these on clearance for $160 and they are very good quality and true to size for my foot. I have regular medium width and volume feet with narrow heels and am prone to heel slipping. These boots fit nicely and locks the heel into place. The boots are comfortable right out of the box and don’t feel too stiff or too heavy. Nice bouncy cushioned outsole . My feet feel good in these boots and they offer good protection and agility. Only downside is yes as in other reviews the tongue is too big and too padded and gets in the way, but it’s not a big deal, and not uncomfortable either. These boots will get hot, I wore them in 80 degrees weather in the rain and my feet were toasty. I’d say these will be excellent winter boots, and will do well for backpacking and hunting. Definitely worth buying at the current clearance price.

So far, so good. I

So far, so good. I took them on my first hike this weekend to break them in. The fit is good. A couple of tight spots on my lower shin right above the ankle, but those should resolve over time. They’re great on rough terrain. Very stable. Overall, a great pair of boots.

The Craig rat USA 7 is a well built all leather boot after a short break in. The boots formed as expected with the rigid sole and Gore-Tex my feet stay dry and supported through any trail conditions. Spend the extra money and get the USA made Danner boots. The quality will pay for itself.
