One of the most comfortable chukka boots I've ever worn - out of the gate. The metal lace loops make lacing a breeze - no need to hold the laces in place while you tighten the boot around your foot. Just make sure the laces are even and give a pull straight up. The sole is sturdy, and my shoemaker assure me these boots can be easily resoled. The boots have a clean look so I can wear them almost anywhere without looking like I chose to wear my hiking boots (as I so often do!).
