very nice, cute shoes, but just not right for me

Really nice, well-made, and cute shoes. They are true to size (I ordered a 9. 5, which is my regular size for hiking boots). Unfortunately, with every step, the leather folds and pinches painfully on the top of each foot. This happens with both light wool socks and thick wool socks. I am so disappointed. I have to return them.

I loved the style and
