The shoe was a little taller than I imagined it to be from the pictures, but not in a way that turned me off from it. It looks and feels like a shoe that is built for work and hiking, it seems sturdy and is comfortable out the gate. I plan to use mine for yardwork when the grass is wet, a home remodel, as well as trail running and hiking.

These were my 1st pair of Danner shoes. I have only worn Salomon for years. I was having calf issues and a friend recommended Danner. These have been the most comfortable, tough, well made shoes I've ever owned. Super stable and nimble, my legs feel totally refreshed after wearing them for a few weeks. I liked them so much I bought a pair of Danner work boots and hunting boots. Feel the quality and comfort is unmatched and I am happy to be supporting a US based company that takes so much care in thier product.

After many pairs of Danners that fit me perfectly out of the box, I found this pair to fit differently than others. They seem narrower and had a substantial break in period because of it. I walk 10+ miles a day as a UPS driver and these are still not the fit I have gotten used to with my other boots. The build quality is great as usual but I think I should have gotten a wider fit.

My true size is 10, width normal. All my other shoes and boots are 10 and feel fine.
I ordered 10.5 width Wide from Danner. Just a little too big but the 10 was too tight length and width.
