I purchased the Rivot TFX prior to my 365 day deployment to Afghanistan. Also had a pair of Bates so I could swap out every other day. There were days I found myself putting the Danners back on because they were much more comfortable. I had 6 months back in garrison and now I have them on in Saudi Arabia....two years of wear and I'm going to have to put them to rest after this deployment. By far the best boots I have had and they look exceptional! Now I just need Danner to send me a code so I can get a discount....they are pricey!

Good boot overall. The Rivot that was made in 2011 was great. The newer Rivot seems to be less padded in some areas. I’m happy that I have them and enjoy wearing them. I will say the otter sole on all of my Rivot boots do excellent when walking on ice or in the snow. The traction is good. The stitching holds good as well. Thanks Danner for a good boot.

I had these in the sage color, so I ordered a 14 instead of my traditional size of 13. I suggest you find somewhere to try on a pair for sizing before ordering.
