Too narrow

I initially bought these in a smaller size and normal width because of a review that they were too wide/too big. The first pair didn't fit. I returned and bought the wide in my normal size. When I tried them on, they still felt too narrow. There is also something very stiff on the inside by the little toe area that rubs and just hurts anything it touches. The length runs true to size, but for some reason, they are just too narrow. I really wanted these to work because they are so lightweight, but they are just so uncomfortable right out of the box. With the mixed reviews regarding the sizing, I feel like these might have some quality control issues.

These are my favorite rucking
