Honestly, It didn't. I have a pair just like it in Monks Robe. They fit perfectly and my wife loves them. These are much too tight in length and width. In addition I thought they were in the same leather as Monks Robe. Also, I ordered a pair of Williams Clovis. They were the same size as the others. They were too long and too wide. It appears that different shops are making them as there is no consistently at all. The Monks Robe were the first shoes I ever bought of yours. Sadly, they will be my last.

I had been looking at the logger 917 GTX boots for a while but was waiting for a sale price and this black model saved me almost $100. 00 off of list price. Black was not my color of choice but once they started to break in they look great and the comfort is superb. I also bought a pair of Moto GTX for riding my motorcycle earlier this year and love them also. This is my 1st exposure to Danner boots and am happy I spent the money on quality boots by Danner, my feet thank me also.

I love this boot. It

I love this boot. It fits great. I can wear all day. I use it for light work situations. Like I can wear it for a 5+ mile walk but maybe not around a bunch of lumber I'm cutting on a hillside. But I love it. This is my 3rd pair. The others are not worn out yet either. I just use them for different things.

I wear Danner boots for work and have been very happy with their performance. The Logger 917 boots are my first casual boot purchase from Danner. High quality that you would expect from Danner, very comfortable, and true to size. I removed the fringe insert from the laces for a much cleaner look. My new go-to boot.
