This is my second pair of Danner Light II’s. As a professional landscaper my boots see daily use. These feel great after a short break in period. Just be aware if you have “normal” feet you’ll probably need EE.

I recently had the pleasure of putting my new Danner Light II 6" boots to the test during an arduous elk hunting trip, and I must say, they exceeded all expectations. Over the course of several exhausting days, these boots provided outstanding comfort, durability, and support, making a noteworthy impact on the success of my excursion.
To start, the comfort level of these boots is unmatched. Right out of the box, they required minimal breaking in, preventing the typical discomfort associated with new footwear. The balance between sturdy support and flexible comfort was ideal for navigating rough terrain. Whether trekking through uneven boulder fields, dense scrub brush, or loose rocky paths, the boots offered excellent ankle support and remained comfortable, eliminating fatigue.
The rugged construction of the Danner Light II proved indispensable in facing the unpredictable elements. The durable leather and Gore-Tex lining offered superior waterproofing, keeping my feet dry during long stints in deep snow and muddy environments. Their solid traction gave me confidence in each step, even on slippery or uneven surfaces, ensuring my safety in challenging conditions.
Another impressive feature was the temperature regulation. Despite the significant temperature fluctuation common to elk hunting trips, my feet stayed warm without overheating, thanks to the breathable materials of the boot.
