Best boots I ever owned

I bought a pair of these when I first enlisted back in 1993. Other than being recrafted once after 8 years, still the sturdiest, most comfortable boots that I own. When the Army switched to brown leather I was sad these had to go up in the closet, but I could pull these out today and wear them with no issue.

I have worn Corcoran Jump

I have worn Corcoran Jump boots nearly every day from 1993 until a few years ago. Their quality drop made it impossible to continue buying them. So I went on a quest and tried every brand I could find. The Danner Fort Lewis is the top of the pack. Amazing quality and comfort, they even beat my previous boots in their heyday. I have never worn a better boot. I'm actually grateful my old favorites are gone - because now I wear Danner.

The Fort Lewis is by far and away my favorite boot of all time. The boot is the result of a collaboration between Danner a couple of career Army officers. Everything from the lug sole to the stitchdown construction to the d-rings speak quality. Keep using boot conditioner on them and you'll have them for many years. Think about how many boots of inferior quality you'd go through in the meantime.
