Heavy, solid boots that can do it all.

From:  Age:  Gender:
These are a heavy duty station/work boot. They also serve as an approved wildland firefighting boot. They're comfortable, but relatively heavy. If you're familiar with wildland firefighting certified boots... You'll know they're ALL pretty heavy. I haven't used them very long but I'd say they look like they'd last for several years. If you're looking at these vs Danner Lookout EMS primarily as a station boots... Get the Lookouts. The Lookouts make a decent hiker in a pinch, and they can do the job in a somewhat uncertified manner for wildland incidents. If you want something that can do it all, and you don't mind the weight these are your boots. And, again, all the fancy wildland certified boots are heavy.... You get used to it. Also worth noting, I found the toe box a bit short/narrow, in that by pinkie toes were rubbing on the toe box slightly for the same size in the Lookouts that has no such problem.

This is my first pair

From:  Age:  Gender:
This is my first pair of Danner Boots, Iā€™m not sure why I waited this long to get a pair. The fit is spot on and I like the quality of the boot. The only thing I see with this boot is that it could breath a little better but being a fire boot I can sacrifice some comfort for the protection it offers.

The zipper binds up transitioning

From:  Age:  Gender:
The zipper binds up transitioning from the top of the foot to up the leg. Defeats the purpose of having a quick zip when it gets stuck every time. The boot was also a bit heavier then I expected. The boot does fit true to size.
