Bought my first pair of these boots for work 5 months ago . I'm in the tree service business and these boots are subjected to very harsh rugged working environments every day for 6 to 8 hours a day. I can honestly say that these are the best boots I have ever owned. They are very comfortable and allow my feet to breath and stay relatively cool while also keeping my feet dry in very wet and muddy conditions. They also check off all the boxes for safety certifications at work and the composite toe box is wide and does not rub or blister my toes. I did read many reviews about this boot regarding the size (they say it runs small) so I tried on a 4" in. Danner Vicious Boot and did find that I needed to go a size larger than my normal boot size. ( 12 EE up to 13 EE ) . The width of the boot (EE wide) and overall foot support was good right out of the box. The insoles are comfortable and can be replaced whenever they wear out. Break in time for me was 7 to 10 working days. I have owned other boots that are specific to my trade ( forestry / arborist ) that cost almost twice the price and found some of those boots to be uncomfortable and wear just as quickly as boots for half the price. If there were any cons to this boot it would be that the sole is not ASTM and CAN / CSA certified for puncture resistance and the boot does not have a European Class 1 rating for cut resistance (not needed in US ). To be fair, this is not an arborist boot, It is an excellent work boot for any trade ( including the tree service business ) and I liked them so much I recently bought a second pair.
