Took less than a week to really break them in. Definitely didn’t tie them as tight since they were really stiff but the laces really hold up without much effort. I’ve never had to re-tie them unlike other brands I had to break in. My feet were very comfortable but my ankle and shins weren’t. A month in and I wear them a little tighter now. Very comfortable all around.

I went through a lot of ordering boots and sending them back trying to find a pair true to size and comfortable and that look how I like , I wanted the 8” steel yard but didn’t want the steel toe and was back and forth about ordering them but I did and I do not regret it. I can’t tell they’re steel toe at all, very comfortable, wear them every day with no issues. As long as they’re an option the Danner 8” steel yard will be my boots. Very well crafted boot in all areas of importance. 10/10 5 stars 2 thumbs up
