I ordered these shoes in 2E wide, thinking that they would work for me. I could not get them on. The shoe itself appears to be of good quality and I wish that they fit me. Now I have to return them, and no return instructions were with the shoes.

I’m satisfied with all the aspects of the “Crafter Romeo 3” brown hot” shoe save one. First, the shoe is comfortable enough to be in all day. The leather and soles are sturdy and supportive. The inserts are thick enough for comfort and help with my arches. Now the weird. While walking or shifting my weight while standing the LEFT shoe squeaks so loudly it’s like some mechanical device in need of WD-40. I mean it’s really loud and noticeable. The squeak originates in the heel/rear of the arch area. I’ve been experimenting with different types of tape applied to the insert and the shoe interior. First, I applied clear packing tape to the bottom of the insert and that worked for about a day then the squeak came back with a vengeance. I removed that tape and applied duct tape strips to the shoe interior. So far the duct tape is working. If the duct tape fails to silence the squeaking then sadly I’m returning the shoes as defective.
