Made in the USA, the Super Rain Forest™ GTX® boot is a great all purpose workboot that gets the job done.

  • Black, full-grain leather upper
  • GORE-TEX® lining for breathable waterproof protection
  • Vibram® 132 Montagna outsole features lugs that are angled to provide substantial support whether ascending and descending
  • The center lugs combined with the unique Vibram® rubber compound provide maximum traction on wet and dry surfaces
  • 200 grams of Thinsulate™ Insulation offer lightweight warmth in cold climates
  • Stitchdown construction provides a wider platform for increased stability underfoot

These boots are made to a standard that is hard to find, true old world quality! The craftsmanship and the feel on your feet is something special. You can feel the boots eagerness to work. They are a stiffer boot that will require a breaking in period, but it is worth every minute! Hands down one of the best boots you will ever wear!

I haven’t really worn them much, but my first impressions are that they are top notch boots! Fits perfectly, and true to size, unlike the insert. I ordered a size 11.5, and the insert is probably a size 12. Not a deal breaker, they are extremely comfortable boots.

I had previously owned a pair of these boots, bought locally, and it was the last pair they had, and these are not too available in my area of the country, so I took a chance and bought them. Great boots, but just a tad too small. So I ordered direct from Danner, another size up. I paid extra for 2 day shipping and by golly they were here in 2 days!! All the way from OR to MA! The best boots!! Heavy duty and thick sole for walking on stone RR ballast, absolutely worth it. Great product and great customer service! USA all the way!

I am a long time Danner Boot wearer. I’m a a firefighter and a farmer. I have been wearing Arcadia boots and insulated rain forests for the last 24 years. I wore out my last pair of rain forest this past fall. I went to order a new pair to find out that you can only get them non insolated. I decided to try a pair of super rain forest. When they arrived I found the same high quality boots I’ve seen for years. They do fit a bit different as they are built on a deferent last. The toe box is bigger but Theses boots come with an insole witch is new for me they are comfortable but definitely stiffer. With the insole the laces feel tighter on the tops of my feet and a bit tight in the toe area. They do seem to be breaking in. The soles are definitely still a little hard and in cold weather can be slippery. I ordered a pair of rain forest (Obviously non insulated) in the same size I’ve been wearing for year in the insolated version and they fit big. I’m looking for a pair of boots that I can wear farming in the summer what won’t be so heavy and hot. It would be so awesome if Danner would custom build boots. (Insolated rain forest with the same sole as the Arcadia for winter and non insolated for summer would be the best boots in the world! Hope this helps. Thanks for being an outstanding company.
