At the time if this review, I believe this is a fairly new product, as it's not available in most stores. So, I will try to answer the questions, most people would have. The outer shell is similar to the Carhartt Extreme. It is very thick, and stiched together well. I own the Extreme as well, and beleive that the Cat is not only thicker, but noticeably warmer. It is definitely wind resistant and water-resistant! It has premium hood snaps and super heavy 2 way, YYK zippers. The front pocket configuration is ingenious. It has typical fleece-lined hand pockets, hidden behind 18" two way zippers. Its like having 2 giant kangaroo pouches that completely zip in any direction.. When its all buttoned up, nothing will fall out. It also has 3 inside pockets, one specifically designed to hold gloves and another that comfortably holds the hood. Sizing is always difficult, and not a straightforward topic. The Cat has a slimmer fit than Carhartt's, or similar products. I am 6'4", 250lbs, with a medium-big beer gut. I purchased the 3XL regular fit and am generally satisfied. It fits my body and arms perfectly, but I probably couldn't fit super bulky layers underneath. Slimmer guys may not have this issue and I don't think it's is a problem, as the jacket is extremely well insulated. The front of the jacket falls below the belt line and the back around the bottom of your pants pockets. You'll have to hike it up, to get into them. Over all, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. This product is obviously durable, well made and worth the money. The folks at Dungarees had the best online price, enough to make one day shipping a no brainer. I absolutely recommended it. All I need now is a pair of pants to match.
